"Year of the Horse" depicts 10 American horse breeds cleverly wrapped and fitted into each shape of the horses body... the Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Paint, Anglo-Arab, Mustang, American Show Horse, Tennessee Walker, Clydesdale, Appaloosa and even a Grand Canyon Donkey (this being the "hidden feature"--donkeys are not horses). The lifesize resin epoxy horse sculpture was the mascot for the 2nd year running of the TRAIL OF PAINTED PONIES, New Mexico's version of the popular public art project that brings community and local charities together.
